Euphrasia
Euphrasia’s Story
Her passion and drive help Euphrasia find the words to inspire and empower. Since she was a young girl, Euphrasia has dreamt of becoming a journalist. She was chosen to host a radio show as an exchange student in the United States for a year to address world issues on gender, race, and human rights.
Though Euphrasia has clearly shown talent and drive from a young age, her widowed mother did not have the money she needed to go to college and contracted meningitis when Euphraisia graduated high school. All the money her family had left went to care for her mother. Euphrasia worked as much as she could in a small, worn-down café to buy her mother's medication, but still didn’t have enough for college. Because of the generous support of the GLOW donor community, Euphrasia’s school fees are covered and she is able to focus on her dreams and goals. As a GLOW Scholar, she is accomplishing academic excellence while leading others, advocating for her own education and women.
