Though Euphrasia has clearly shown talent and drive from a young age, her widowed mother did not have the money she needed to go to college and contracted meningitis when Euphraisia graduated high school. All the money her family had left went to care for her mother. Euphrasia worked as much as she could in a small, worn-down café to buy her mother's medication, but still didn’t have enough for college. Because of the generous support of the GLOW donor community, Euphrasia’s school fees are covered and she is able to focus on her dreams and goals. As a GLOW Scholar, she is accomplishing academic excellence while leading others, advocating for her own education and women.

Fellow GLOW Girls, Jeni, and Euphrasia

Girls have always been the victims of domestic violence, lack of education... By supporting our girls, we enlighten them, teach them how to stand for themselves, how to defend others, and, most particularly, to educate them and to remind them they were not just meant to be in the kitchen to prepare meals. There is so much more in girls that hasn’t been discovered.
